Day 1 Arrive Zagreb Upon arrival you will be met and taken to your hotel. Remainder of the day is at leisure to begin your exploration of the cosmopolitan Croatian capital. Dinner and overnight Hotel International or similar.
Day 2 Zagreb-Plitvice Lakes This morning you will be taken on a tour of Zagreb that includes the fortified Upper Town, the city's historical center, St. Mark Church with its multicolored roof, the Cathedral, Croatian National Theater and the University. Afternoon departure to the spectacular Plitvice Lakes. Dinner and overnight Hotel Macola or similar.
Day 3 Plitvice Lakes After breakfast you will enjoy a tour of the Plitvice Lakes National Park classified as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site. It consists of 16 terraced lakes, joined in a series of cascading waterfalls. The lakes are surrounded by dense forests. The Plitvice Lakes are a natural phenomenon of a rare and unique beauty. Day 4 Plitvice Lakes-Trogir-Split Morning departure to Trogir where you will visit the Cathedral of St. Lawrence. Continue to Split. Upon arrival you will be taken on a city tour of Split that includes the Diocletian's Palace which is listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site with Peristyle, Jupiteri's Temple and the Cathedral. Dinner and overnight Hotel AS or similar.
Day 5 Split-Dubrovnik After breakfast depart for your drive to Dubrovnik, Which is listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. Upon arrival you will be taken on a tour of the city that includes the Franciscan Monastery with Europe's third oldest pharmacy, the Rector's Palace and the Cathedral. Dinner and overnight Hotel Ivka or similar.
Day 6 Dubrovnik Full day at leisure in this beautiful city. Dinner and overnight Hotel Ivka.
Day 7 Dubrovnik-Budva-Shkodra-Tirana Depart to Tirana via Budva, known for its Old Town encircled by walls from the Venetian period. Cross the border at Shkodra, once the capital of Illyrian Kingdom (3rd century B.C.) Dinner and overnight Hotel Mondial.
Day 8 Tirana-Ohrid After breakfast you will be taken on a tour of the city that includes the Skenderbey Square, Mosque of Ethem Bey, and the National Museum which represents Albanian history and housing the finds from archeological sites across the country. Continue to the slopes of the Dajti Mountain for a panoramic view of Tirana. Afternoon departure to Ohrid, driving via Elbasan and crossing the Macedonian border at Cafasan. Overnight Hotel Metropol.
Day 9 Ohrid Today you will enjoy a full day at the lakeside resort of Ohrid, classified as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. Through the activity of St. Clement and St. Naum of Ohrid, the first pan-Slavic University in Europe, the famous "Ohrid Literary School" was founded here. Your morning tour includes the 11th century church of St. Sofia, the most eminent medieval monument in Macedonia with magnificent Byzantine fresco paintings and St. Clement Church with its icon of Annunciation. In the afternoon take a short drive to St. Naum Monastery built on the shores of Lake Ohrid in 900 A.D. and is dedicated to the Slavic missionary and educater St. Naum of Ohrid. Day 10 Ohrid-Skopje Morning departure to Skopje. Upon arrival you will be taken on a tour of the Macedonian capital. Your tour includes, the Kale Fortress, Church of the Holy Savior with its iconostas, one of the finest examples of traditional walnut woodcarving, Old Bazaar and Stone Bridge. Drive to the slopes of the Vodno Mountain where you will visit the Monastery of St. Panteleimon with its 12th century iconostas and frescoes ranking among the highest achievements of Byzantine art of this period. Dinner and overnight Hotel Continental.
Day 11 Skopje-Kolasin After breakfast depart to Kolasin, driving via Pec and Berane and along the impressive Moraca River Canyon. Afternoon arrival at Kolasin, which is located on the left bank of the Tara River. The area is surrounded by a thick pine forest of the Bjelasica Mountain and is a popular spa resort. Dinner and overnight Hotel Bianca Resort and Spa.
Day 12 Kolasin-Cetinje-Kotor-Dubrovnik Morning departure to Cetinje where you visit the King Nicholas Museum, once the residence of the Montenegrin King Nicholas I Petrovic. Continue to Kotor which is classified as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. In Kotor you will visit the Romanesque Cathedral dedicated to St. Triphun, the city's patron saint. Continue to Dubrovnik driving along the picturesque Bay of Kotor. Dinner and overnight Hotel Ivka.
Day 13 Dubrovnik-End of Tour After breakfast you will be taken to the airport or you can extend your stay in Dubrovnik.
